DIY Ombre Hair Tutorial

Hey Loves!

I recently posted up my Two Part DIY Ombre Hair Tutorial on my YouTube channel. This tutorial was inspired by Lauren Conrad's May Cover of Glamour magazine. She had deeper roots near the crown area of her head with subtle highlights, with her hair gradually lightening in a dark to light gradient down & away from her face. I love the look of ombre hair for summer, so I decided to save myself some money & show you guys how I did it myself at home for a lot less than it would cost at a salon.

Part one shows how I used a Revlon Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit to apply highlights & do an ombre gradient on the tips of my hair. Part Two shows you how I used Revlon Color Silk in Ultra Light Ash Blonde to get rid of brassiness, applied Revlon Color Silk in Dark Mahogany Brown to my roots, & my personal tips on maintaining the overall hair color.

I think this hair is perfect for summer! It's very low-maintenance & gives your hair a beautiful sun-kissed look. Let me know what you guys think! Will you be trying out ombre hair for the summer?
