Wishlist Wednesday: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

SHU UEMURA Eyelash Curler

Hello Loves!

In today's Wishlist Wednesday blog post, I'll be talking about the best-selling and award-winning Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. I mentioned a while back ago that I broke my eyelash curler. I asked on Twitter for recommendations for a new one, and most of you replied with the "Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler". This eyelash curler has been on my wishlist for quite some time now. Although, the price tag of  $20.00 did have me question its credibility. I currently use my $1 Eyelash Curler from ELF, which does a great job with my lashes.

The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler claims to deliver the perfect curl with its enhanced features and design. Its silicone pad has a mushroom-like shape, allowing you to curl your lashes pinch-free. The edges of the curler will stay put for safety and amazing curl. Its patented hinge also allows for the perfect pressure while curling your lashes. It is suitable for a variety of eye shapes, and it's designed to fit perfectly in your hand for stability and control.

I really want to get my hands on this eyelash curler, but I'm still very hesitant. With all of the benefits that the design and features claim to provide, it sounds almost too good to be true!

Do you own a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler? Does it provide everything that it claims? Is it worth paying the $20? Let me know in a comment down below!

Mani Monday: NAKED by Deborah Lippmann

NAKED - Deborah Lippman

Hello Loves!

I am back with another Mani Monday blog post! As you can see in the picture above, I recently painted my nails using my latest polish, NAKED nail lacquer by Deborah Lippmann. As mentioned in a previous blog post, NAKED is a sheer polish described as a "clean bare beige" on the Deborah Lippmann website. I applied one coat of this color on my nails, and I have fallen in love. NAKED by Deborah Lippmann is my new favorite nail lacquer to give my nails a clean, natural look.

Some light, neutral colored nail lacquers can make your hands look "dirty". Especially with my skin tone, it's difficult to find natural looking nail colors that will compliment my skin. The light color and sheer application of this nail lacquer works perfectly for me. My hands look polished in one coat. This is definitely my new go-to polish for quick manicures.

NAKED nail lacquer has a retail price of $16.00. I purchased mine from using a discount and reward points, but you can also buy any nail lacquer by Deborah Lippmann directly from the main website here.

What are your opinions about Deborah Lippmann nail lacquer? Do you have any colors you'd like to recommend for me? Let me know in a comment down below!

Wishlist Wednesday: Clarisonic Mia 2

Coral Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Skin Cleansing System

Hello Loves!

Most of you who follow me on Twitter and Instagram know that I went camping this past weekend. I was with my family at Lupine Shores in Napa, California. We camped along the edge of Lake Berryessa. I had so much fun this weekend, but I was really upset with my skin when I returned home on Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately, there were no showers or bathrooms available on the camping grounds, so I went two whole nights without washing my face. (In case you guys don't know, that is a HUGE NO-NO in my book!) I started to break out along my hairline, on my forehead, and on my chin. Sometimes, you don't realize how important it is to keep your skin clean and clear until a breakout happens. I have a morning  and evening skincare routine that I do on a daily basis. So... of course, it was only natural for my skin to freak out on me.

This brings me to today's wishlist Wednesday item, the Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Skin Cleansing System. The Clarisonic brand is well-known throughout the Beauty World. For skincare, their Sonic Skin Cleansing Systems are an essential tool to have in your Beauty regimen.

Even though you may wash your face everyday, you may not be completely cleansing your skin. This is where the Clarisonic Mia 2 comes in handy. Using Sonic Technology, the Clarisonic Mia gently massages your face to gently remove dirt and excess oil, to create softer and smoother skin. It cleans your face 6x better than your hand. It is not harsh or abrasive. It works with the natural elasticity of your face to prep for application of creams, serums, and moisturizers. It's even gentle enough to use twice a day.

If I had a Clarisonic Mia already, I'd be using that bad boy on my face every single day! During bad breakouts, like the one I'm currently experiencing, I only want to get my hands on it even more, despite its $149 price tag.

Have you heard of the Clarisonic Mia 2? Would you want to add it to your Skincare regimen? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below!

Trading Tuesday! Little Black Bag

Hello Loves!

If you've seen my past videos about Little Black Bag, you will already be aware that it has become my latest OBSESSION! Just in case you missed the videos, I'll quickly explain what Little Black Bag is all about.

Little Black Bag is an online, monthly subscription website where you can purchase a bag for $49.95 filled with fashion and beauty items retailing upwards of $100. Before paying anything, you take a style quiz, which will help the curators of Little Black Bag choose the 2-4 surprise items you get. You then can choose your very first item out of all the items available in your personalized gallery. After proceeding through checkout, all of the items in your bag will be revealed. This is where the fun starts! For one week, you can trade any of the items in your bag with items in the bags of every member on the website. You can trade as many times as you want until you are completely satisfied with your bag. Better yet, if you end up with something you aren't happy with, Little Black Bag has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. You can send back any item you don't want and Little Black Bag will either refund your money or they will place a new item with the same retail value as credit for a future bag purchase.

With all that said, I've been trading like crazy all day today! I'm still a little under the weather, so I won't be filming until tomorrow. Be sure to heck out Little Black Bag ASAP! Maybe we'll interact in a trade offer or two! Go to now to take your style quiz & open up you first bag! Maybe you'll end up as addicted as I am! haha

Below are my both of my past Little Black Bag videos. In fact, the first video is also a GIVEAWAY that I am currently hosting on my YouTube Channel until August 25th. Be sure to watch the video & follow all the rules, & MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR! (Just a little Hunger Games reference there... ;] haha )

I've Got Mail: August Birchbox!

Hello Loves!

I received my August Birchbox last Monday, so as per usual, I'm going to show you all the goodies that I got this month. At first glance, I noticed that this month's box was a bit larger than usual. This month, Birchbox created a beauty supply kit. Much like the back-to-school supply kits that bring students into a new school year, this beauty supply kit is meant to fulfill your beauty essentials to bringing you into the upcoming Fall season. So with that said, let's jump right into the deluxe samples, including the info provided about each item in the enclosed note card.

SCHICK Hydro Silk Razor
Full-size, $9.99

"The blades work with your legs' natural curves to make shaving tricky spots like your knees and ankles a breeze. The water-activated moisturizing serum has marine extracts and shea butter and hydrates your skin."

YU-BE Moisturizing Skin Cream
Full-size, $16

"Bestselling Japanese cream that hydrates chapped lips, rough heels, and cracked hands."

Miss Jessie's Original Stretch Silkening Creme
Full-size, $22

"Apply to soaking wet hair to loosen tight curls and add tons of shine."

Pixi Beauty Lip & Line

"A double-sided wand featuring a waterproof liner and a creamy lipstick."

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur

"This modern scent is a feminine blend of wild berries, mandarin, and waterlily."

I loved the samples in this month's box just as much as the items I've received in previous boxes. For only $10 per month, I honestly believe that I am getting my money's worth. In this particular box, the Schick Hydro Silk razor paid for the entire box itself. If you haven't signed up for Birchbox yet, I definitely recommend you do so ASAP! What are you waiting for?! HURRY! Go to & sign-up today!

Also, don't forget to watch the video I posted earlier today to see my first impressions of each item as I unboxed my August Birchbox! ENJOY!

Mani Monday: Julep Maven

Hello Loves!

As you already know, I've been sick lately, so after removing my nail polish late Saturday night, I was unfortunately too tired to paint my nails. They will probably remain naked until I feel well enough to take the time to do them. I'm not the kind of girl who will quickly brush on  new color just for the sake of having my nails polished. I prefer to take my time to file my nails, clean up my cuticles, apply a base coat, 2-3 coats of polish, and a top coat. This keeps my manicures looking perfect and lasting much longer than they would if I applied nail polish alone.

With that said, today I am going to be talking about the Julep Maven Monthly Subscription that I've recently signed up for. Lizzy, aka "WhatWouldLizzyDo" on YouTube, posted a recent video talking about how she signed-up for her 1st box for only $0.01! That's right, ONE PENNY! I had to immediately jump at the chance to get some cheap nail polish. I bought my first box for only $0.01 as well, using the code "COLOR2012". I got my first Julep Maven Box in the mail a few days ago, so let's jump right into the pictures shall we?!

The box it comes in is basic black with "" written on the top, as you can see pictured above. The sides have "Julep Maven" written on them, & the underside has my address, which I of course will NOT be showing you for my own safety reasons. haha

When you first open the box, you will see bright, magenta tissue paper wrapped around this cute, re-usable shopping bag, pictured above. Most of you will know that I love being Green, & I use re-usable shopping bags regularly. Most of my re-usable shopping bags are quite large though, so the size of the bag is perfect to bring along when I'm making smaller purchases, which I LOVE!

The first item inside my bag is this Welcome Card featuring the type of box I received. When signing up for Julep Maven, you take a style quiz, which will determine the type of box you will get. There are 5 different Style Profiles including: American Beauty, Boho Glam, Bombshell, Classic with a Twist, & It Girl.

Next inside my bag is a Welcome Maven letter that includes all the great perks you get for becoming a Julep Maven as well as tips to take full advantage of your membership. Mavens get 20% OFF all products as well as FREE shipping. You can also earn a FREE monthly box for every 2 friends you refer. There is also NO OBLIGATION to buy! Your monthly box costs $19.99 per month. Every 20th of the month, Julep will send you a preview e-mail of the box they will send you. If you do not like what your box has, you can skip the month or gift the box to a friend. Julep will NOT charge your account until the 27th, the date when they also ship out the box.

Left to Right: Claire, Blake, & Morgan

Lastly, here are the three gorgeous colors I received in my July box. The first color, Claire, is a nice robin's egg blue. It is a creme finish, & looks quite opaque in the bottle. The next color, Blake, is a pale buttery yellow. It is also a creme finish, but it doesn't look as opaque as Claire. I'm eager to see how Blake will actually apply to my nails. The last color, which also happens to be my FAVORITE, is Morgan. Morgan is a satin finsh, royal purple color. It looks beautiful in the bottle, so I'm very eager to see how it applies to my nails.

I am very pleased with my first Julep Maven box! It was well worth thr ONE PENNY that I spent on it. haha If you like to check out Julep Maven for yourself, go to JULEP.COM. You are also more than welcome to use the code "COLOR2012" to get your 1st box for only ONE PENNY!

Sick Sunday =(

Hello Loves!

First of all, I'd like to apologize for my lack of videos and blog posts lately. On top of work being hectic this week, I caught a cold from my co-worker making it very difficult to film. I've been sick in bed all day trying to re-gain my strength before I go back to work tomorrow. If I'm feeling better tomorrow morning, I should be able to film at least one new video for you guys before heading into work.

Thank you all for your patience & understanding with me. I promise to keep my blog & YouTube Channel updated as much as possible! I know that I've been seriously lacking so far this month.

Mani Monday: My 1st Butter London & Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquers

Hello Loves!

My current nail polish color, OPI's Gargantuan Green Grape is holding up perfectly. I am currently in my 3rd week with this polish color with very little chipping! I am in love with this color for Summer, so be sure to check out the blog I posted 2 weeks ago, when I first applied it to my nails to learn more.

If you've been keeping up with my videos on my channel, you will have seen the new nail polish I've gotten recently. In my Online Shopping Haul video, I featured the Butter London and Deborah Lippmann nail lacquers. In today's Mani Monday, I'm going to be giving you guys a closer look at these AMAZING nail lacquers.

Left to Right: Slapper, Cheeky Chops, and Primrose Hill Picnic

The first three nail lacquers I want to talk about are from Butter London. This trio came FREE with my ShoeMint purchase last month. I have the colors Slapper, Cheeky Chops, and Primrose Hill Picnic. I'll list each individual nail lacquer below, including its description from the Butter London website, and a link to where you can purchase it.

Slapper Nail Lacquer
"A truly teal nail lacquer, bold and very bright."
Retail Price: $14.00

Cheeky Chops
"'Why, no - I do not have a banana in my pocket - but I am happy to see you.' Get noticed with this bright yellow nail lacquer."
Retail Price: $14.00

Primrose Hill Picnic
"A happy, punchy, tropical, fuchsia pink nail lacquer. Will make you want to take off your shoes and run barefoot through the office."
Retail Price: $14.00

These are my very first three Butter London Nail Lacquers. I am absolutely in love with these colors, because I think they are PERFECT for Summer. I can't wait to try them out on my nails in the future.

Left to Right: Naked, Hard Rock Base & Top Coat, and Don't Tell Mama

The next and last three nail lacquers I want to talk about are from Deborah Lippmann. I purchased these three nail lacquers from, using the Birchbox Rewards points that I accrued over the last 6 months. I used 200 of my points, giving me a $20 discount on my purchase. Deborah Lippmann nail lacquer is pretty pricey, so I was ecstatic that I was able to get these three nail lacquers for $21.60. I bought the colors Naked, Don't Tell Mama, and the Hard Rock Base & Top Coat. Below, I'll list each individual nail lacquer, including its description from the website, and a link to where you can purchase it.

"clean bare beige (sheer)"
Retail Price: $16.00

Don't Tell Mama
"mood ring blue/green (shimmer) - As seen on Live with Regis and Kelly as Kelly's favorite stocking stuffer!"
Retail Price: $16.00

Hard Rock Base & Top Coat
"hydrating hardener base and top coat"
Retail Price: $20.00

These are my first purchases from, as well as my first purchases from the Deborah Lippmann Collection. I am very excited to try them out for myself, because I have heard so many good things from other people.

Be sure to check out the Online Shopping Haul that these nail lacquers were featured in if you haven't done so already!

Wishlist Wednesday: FAIRYDROPS - Scandal Queen Mascara

Hello Loves!

It is Wishlist Wednesday again, and today I am going to be talking about FAIRYDROPS - Scandal Queen Mascara. Mascara is slowly becoming one of my everyday makeup essentials. When I first began wearing makeup, mascara was definitely not something that excited me. It was scary placing anything super close to my eyeballs! haha As time went on, I realized how much of a difference mascara can make. Long lush lashes create a wonderful allure to your eyes, and they can brighten up your entire face, making you look more awake. Since my revelation of the importance of mascara, I have been searching for the absolute, best mascara.

I found FAIRYDROPS - Scandal Queen Mascara while browsing Sephora one day. The adorable packaging was the first thing that caught my eye. This mascara was created by the Japanese TV personality, Aya Yasuda. It claims to be volumizing as well as water- and sweat-resistant. As you can see in the photo above, it also has a brush head that is so unique that it is patented in Japan. The brush shape allows it to catch even the tiniest lashes, while defining, lengthening, and holding all-day curl. The formula of this mascara is blended with fiber to create lush, doll-like lashes. It contains NO sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, phthalates, GMOs, or Triclosan.

Priced at $24.00, this mascara better be all that it is hyped up to be. I don't usually pay more than $15.00 for mascara, but I'd love to try out more high-end brands. What is your opinion on mascara? Do you have any good ones to recommend?
